SIGA-COD is an Edwards Signature Series intelligent carbon monoxide detector with an electrochemical CO sensor. It is compatible only with the Signature Loop Controller. The detector's microprocessor analyzes sensor readings over time to decide when to initiate a CO alarm, runs continuous self-diagnostics, and signals a trouble condition to the panel when the CO cell reaches end of life. It plugs into a separately ordered Signature Series detector base.

Compatibility and installation notes
- Compatible only with the Edwards Signature Loop Controller; feature support depends on the control panel.
- Compatible bases: SIGA-SB, SIGA-SB4, SIGA-RB, SIGA-RB4, SIGA-IB, SIGA-IB4, SIGA-AB4GT and SIGA-AB4G-LF. SIGA-LED remote LED works with SIGA-SB/SB4 only.
- For a CO (TC4) tone pattern on SIGA-AB4GT or SIGA-AB4G-LF sounder bases, a SIGA-TCDR Temporal Pattern Generator is required.
- Bases mount to North American 1-gang boxes, 3-1/2 in or 4 in octagon boxes 1-1/2 in (38 mm) deep; 4 in bases also fit 4 in square boxes.
- Bases accept 18 to 12 AWG wire; 16 and 18 AWG are preferred.
- At end of sensor life the panel shows a trouble that remains until the detector is replaced. Plan maintenance per NFPA 72, NFPA 720 and the AHJ.
- The manufacturer notes that people with special medical conditions may need devices that alarm below 30 ppm.
